Want to always have #browgoals? Us too. That’s why we offer the super popular microblading treatment.

It’s like getting super subtle tattooed on eyebrows, but not the kind that your great aunt had that scared you. Technicians use a light hand a feathering microblading technique to mimic natural hair.

Truth #1 It’s Not One and Done

When you get your brows microbladed, you’re in for two appointments. Your initial treatment and a follow-up. Why?

The first time around not all the dye will take where you want it to. It’s normal for one-treatment brow to have patches of no treatment or uneven coloring.

Again, this is normal! It’s like getting a tattoo – you do the outlines and features first, then color it in.

Your follow-up appointment will be four to six weeks after your initial treatment so you won’t have to wait too long.

Truth #2 It’s Not Forever

Microblading results, after your follow up appointment, last one to two or two and a half years. The skin type you have determines how long it lasts.

If you have oily skin, you naturally push out more oils from the pores on your face. That means you’ll naturally push out more of the dye and the results won’t last as long.

Getting them re-done years later is like another follow-up appointment. You’ll know what and how much to expect!

Plus, many salons give a small discount for returning customers.

Truth #3 It Will Flake

During the healing process you may not be happy with your brows – remember, they’ll get a touch-up. It’s normal during healing for brows to darken, scab, and flake off.

Think of it like a tattoo – you’re creating a small skin wound and your body needs to go through its natural process of healing. Better that than the body rejecting it, right?

Myth #1 It Hurts

If you’ve ever gotten a tattoo, you know it’s not as painful as you thought the first time. However, your tattoo artists didn’t give you local anesthetic or external numbing cream.

Since your technician works in a medical spa, they have access to numbing agents. That means the most you will feel are like little scratches – most people don’t feel anything at all with the numbing agents.

Myth #2 It’s Expensive

Does it cost money to get your brows done? Yes! But likely just as much as all the powders, pencils, and filling products you’d use over those two years.

Call your local salon and ask if they have specials coming up that you can take advantage of. Remember – your results will last for up to two years.

A good way to justify a bigger purchase is to divide the price by how many times you’ll use the product. For your brows, that’s every day!

Divide the cost of your brow treatment by 730 days (two years). Sound worth it now?

Scheduling Microblading

Since there is the follow-up period we discussed, you don’t want to schedule your microblading procedure right before a big event. Give it two months out so your brows will be picture perfect.

The best way to schedule is by contacting a spa online or by giving them a call. They’ll help you schedule your consultation and work out what date is right for you.
